Wendy's is offering $1, $2 cheeseburgers for March Madness: How to get the slam dunk deal

March Madness is almost here, and while that term is synonymous with college basketball and brackets for sports fans, it can also now be synonymous with discounted cheeseburgers.
Wendy's is celebrating March Madness by offering customers a $1 Dave's Single or a $2 Dave's Double exclusively via the Wendy's app from now through Wednesday, April 10, the company said in a news release.
According to Wendy's, customers who visit the Wendy's app can add a Dave's Single or Dave's Double to your cart and then visit the Wendy's offers page to add the discount to your order.
A Dave's Single features a quarter-pound of fresh beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, mayo and onion on a toasted bun, according to Wendy's online menu. The burger contains about 590 calories.
A Dave's Double has the same toppings as a Dave's Single, but features a half-pound of fresh beef instead of a quarter-pound. The burger contains about 860 calories.

Wendy's pushes back on notion of 'surge pricing'
The fast-food chain caught some backlash on social media last month after CEO Kirk Tanner said on an earnings call the company had plans to test out a "dynamic pricing model" as early as 2025.
Wendy's has pushed back on the notion it is implementing "surge pricing", a strategy most associated with ride-sharing companies like Uber and ticket sellers.
Wendy's said in a statement last month that its new digital menus "would not raise prices when our customers are visiting us most," but would allow restaurants to "change the menu offerings at different times of day and offer discounts and value offers to our customers more easily, particularly in the slower times of day."
